“We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future,” a club spokesman said.
Villa are yet to win a match since the start of the season and they are 17th on the log.
Gerrard until his sack was appointed in November 2021 after a successful three-year coaching period at Rangers FC where he helped the club to win the Scottish Premier League in 2020/21 season.
