Gombe govt to partner NDPHC in building 250MW solar power plant

Gombe State government has said it is working to build a 250 megawatts solar power plant in partnership with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).
Reports say Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya made this known Thursday while declaring open the first Gombe Investment Summit tagged ‘GoInvest,’ held at the International Conference Centre, Gombe.

He said that in addition to the 250MW solar power plant, the state government is investing in energy infrastructure through another 100 megawatts power plant under the Northern States Governor’s Forum initiative.
In her remarks, the Special Adviser to the President on the Ease of Doing Business, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, praised the innovations and determination of Governor Yahaya, which she said made the state earn the number one spot in the ease of doing business in the country.
