Guinness World Records names Monday worst day of the week

The world’s authority on record-breaking achievements since 1955, Guinness World Records (GWR), has officially named Monday the worst day of the week.

According to Guinness World Records via its Twitter handle the day of the week after Sunday and before Tuesday has broken the record of being the worst.

GWR wrote: “We’re officially giving Monday the record of the worst day of the week.”

Reacting to the latest world record broken by a weekday, many Twitter users couldn’t hide their resentment for the day as they nodded in agreement.

@TheOrignalFoley tweeted: “I take Mondays off just for this reason.”

@AngryBirds said: “took you long enough.”

@daechwita07 wrote: “Even the GWR recognizes the impact.”

@ryan_ohs stated: “After a 30 seconds weekend, this is how Monday slaps us hard.”

@Shreya_Elle tweeted: “I stand for this. Monday deserves it.”

@rejectmeyoongi said: “like this very specific Monday right? like Oct 17, 2022. bc yeah.”

@gilesmartic wrote: “I should receive that award on behalf of Monday

@itz_karthik asked: “Is there a way to scrap Monday from the week??”

@Demchille stated: “What a stubborn day Monday is… Abeg do that for sure.”

Guinness World Records, known from its inception in 1955 until 1999 as The Guinness Book of Records and in previous United States editions as The Guinness Book of World Records, is a reference book published annually, listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
