Kano State Hisbah detains nine for alleged  eating on first day of Ramadan The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested nine Muslims in Kano for allegedly eating in public during daylight hours on the first day of Ramadan. The board’s Deputy Commander, Mujahid Aminudeen, confirmed that the suspects — seven men and two women — were apprehended on Wednesday after they were reportedly seen eating openly while the fast was ongoing.
