The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced preparations towards the 2023 General Elections with the airlifting of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines to states.

The INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Wednesday observed the airlifting of BVAS machines to other states at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos State.
The election is 87 days to go According to the INEC timetable and the umpire is starting with the Presidential and National Assembly elections on February 25, 2023 while on March 11, 2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections will hold.
