Yobe APC Chairman, Senate President, congratulate Gov. Buni on 2nd term victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Yobe State party chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, has Congratulated the Governor-elect Mai Mala Buni on his victory for a second term in office.

Gadaka also congratulated all the elected APC members of the state House of Assembly across the state.

The party chairman stated that the victory of APC in the state is a clear indication that APC as a party played a vital role towards the provision of the dividend of democracy to the people of the state.

“Re-electing Governor Mai Mala Buni by the electorates in the state is a manifest of his achievements and the style of leadership he demonstrated for Yobeans”, said Gadaka.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and all APC stakeholders in Yobe for a job well done.

Similarly, Senate President Ahmad Lawan has congratulated the Governor-elect on his re-election for a second term of four years.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi, the senate president described the outcome of the poll as a well-deserved victory for Buni and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I heartily congratulate my dear friend and brother, the governor of Yobe, Mai Mala Buni, on his re-election for a second term.

“Also, I congratulate our great party, the APC, on the renewal of our mandate to continue delivering progressive governance to our people across Yobe. For our governor and party, this is a well-deserved victory from a keenly contested poll.”

“Fellow people of Yobe, you have again made a resounding statement of your full confidence in the leadership of governor Mai Mala Buni.

“I can assure you that our Governor will in the next four years remain on the same path of good governance for the progress of Yobe and the well-being of our people,” Lawan said.

Earlier on Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) declared Buni the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Yobe.

Neptune Prime reports that Governor Mai Mala Buni won his re-election bid with a total of 371,113 votes to beat his closest rival, Sheriff Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 104,259 while Garba Umar of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) scored 14,246 votes.
