Kaduna-based entertainer Adam Zango announces separation from 6th wife

Kaduna-based dancer, director, and social entertainer, Adam A. Zango, has announced the finalization of his separation from his sixth wife, Aisha Chalawa.

Zango, who married Chalawa from Kebbi about five years ago, cited her failure to adhere to the Islamic laws guiding a proper marriage as the reason for their separation. In a video released on social media, Zango tearfully explained that their marriage was fraught with fighting and separation, largely due to Chalawa’s obsession with money.

Zango, who is successful in his various pursuits, has a history of marital crises. He was once in a relationship with Nafisa Abdullahi, but the relationship collapsed as they were preparing to get married. He also dated Zainab Indomie, but he broke her heart, causing her to abandon a good relationship with a former work and housing minister from Nasarawa State, Ahmad Lawal. Maryam Booth was another woman he was close to marrying, but their relationship was derailed by the release of a video in which she appeared nude with a prominent Kaduna politician. Zango has since married women from Cameroon, Nasarawa, Zango, and now Chalawa. He has fathered seven children with different mothers.

Zango’s proposed marriage to Ummi Rahab has caused a scandal in his family, as she abandoned him and got married to Lilian Baba, one of Zango’s dancers. Zango has been struggling to settle down since then and has been embroiled in media wars with Ali Nuhu and other prominent Kannywood stakeholders. Due to his lack of formal education, he has often found himself in conflict with the press. Ali Nuhu, Nafisa Abdullahi, and Rahma Sadau all have advanced degrees, leaving Zango behind as a school dropout. Although he enrolled in Maitama Sule University in Kano, he dropped out due to his reputation as a womanizer.

Most of the women close to Zango blame him for his complete failure in bed. His wives and girlfriends have decided to cover for him. However, Chalawa claimed that Zango is stingy and unable to provide even the basic necessities for their daughter. Sources suggest that Zango is not only weak in bed, but any serious lady that marries him is likely to run away after just a few weeks or months. Some of the women close to him have advised him to undergo a comprehensive medical checkup, or he may end up marrying all the girls in Nigeria and still remain frustrated in bed.
