Lagos govt begins demolition of illegal buildings on Banana Island (Photos)
The Lagos State Government has commenced the demolition of illegal buildings on the Banana Island area in the state.
In a tweet on Wednesday by the state government, the exercise will be carried out by the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA).

Recall that the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu ordered the demolition of three two-storey buildings on Banana Island following the collapse of a seven-storey building in the area few weeks back.
The agency made this known in a post shared on its Twitter handle on Wednesday and wrote, “Banana Island: LASBCA Begins Removal of Illegal Structures.”
