NUC approves nursing, geology programmes at OAUSTECH.

Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in Okitipupa, Ondo State, has achieved a significant milestone as the National Universities Commission (NUC) grants approval for the BSc Nursing Science and Applied Geology programmes.
Paul Adeagbo, the institution’s spokesman, announced that the NUC approval was conveyed through a letter addressed to OAUSTECH’s Vice Chancellor, Temi Ologunorisa.

The letter, dated June 13 and signed by B. N. Saliu, the Director of Academic Planning on behalf of the NUC’s Executive Secretary, carries the reference No: NUC/AP/S24/Vol.1/83.
Adeagbo said NUC’s visit to the university in April this year was instrumental in assessing the institution’s readiness for these two programmes.
He said Vice-Chancellor Temi Ologunorisa expressed his excitement upon receiving the letter and assured that all preparations were in place for the programmes to commence in September.
Ologunorisa advised prospective candidates to update their preferences on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal to apply for the programmes at OAUSTECH.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasised that OAUSTECH is fully prepared to welcome the pioneer students of these newly approved courses. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to delivering high-quality teaching, conducting cutting-edge research and engaging with the community in a strategic manner.
This approval by the NUC signifies a significant step forward for Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, expanding its academic offerings and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of Nursing and Geology.
