It is reported that the loan recovery agents from the Chinese loan app visited Tejas’ home and proceeded to harass him. They even resorted to making threatening phone calls. Three days prior to the tragic incident, Tejas’s father, Gopinath, had requested more time to clear the outstanding dues, but the lenders showed no leniency.

On Tuesday evening, the app agents intensified their relentless phone calls, further threatening Tejas. It was following these repeated threats that he felt compelled to take such a drastic step.
