Customs Service’s Acting CG hosts NIPR delegation in Abuja

The Acting Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, extended a warm welcome to a delegation from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) during their courtesy visit to the Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters in Abuja.

Leading the delegation was the President/Chairman of the Governing Council of NIPR, Malam Mukhtar Sirajo, accompanied by other council members, fellows, and state chapter chairs.

The primary purpose of this visit was to convey congratulations to the Acting CG on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and to discuss the preparations for NIPR’s Annual General Meeting and elections, scheduled for August 23, 2023.

During the visit, Mukhtar Sirajo commended the Nigeria Customs Service for having Bashir Adewale Adeniyi as the Acting Comptroller-General, describing him as an excellent team player.

He urged Adeniyi to lead with patience and humility, paving the way for the service’s continued success, while assuring him of NIPR’s unwavering support.

In response, the Acting Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, warmly received the delegation at Customs House.

He expressed his gratitude and reiterated the Nigeria Customs Service’s commitment to supporting NIPR.

Adeniyi, a Fellow of the institute and the Vice President, stressed the significance of nurturing positive relationships beyond the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration to benefit all.

The meeting concluded with both parties expressing optimism for a successful Annual General Meeting, a smooth election process, and a seamless transition. They reaffirmed their dedication to future cooperation and mutual support.
