Ronaldo provides his Marrakech hotel for earthquake victims as death toll rises above 2,000
Portugal international, Cristiano Ronaldo, has made his hotel, Pestana CR7 in Marrakech available as shelter for victims after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake tore a larger part of Atlas mountain in Morocco.
The earthquake struck in the late hours of Friday leaving hundreds injured and over 2,000 lives are said to have been lost as a result of the devastation.
The Al Nassr star is said to bring relief to those whose houses were destroyed as a result of the earthquake.
Although, the hotel is no where near the epicenter which is some 45 miles from the city of Marrakech.
The luxury hotel has 174 rooms.
The Moroccan national donated blood to help support the victims.
Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi wrote on social media: “We are going through a difficult time for all our fellow citizens. It’s time to help each other save as many lives as possible. My condolences to everyone who has lost a loved one.”
