Nasarawa Gov. Sule loses seat to PDP’s Ombugadu at elections tribunal
The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lafia, the state capital, has delivered a ruling ordering the withdrawal of the Certificate of Return issued to Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the March 18 election.
The tribunal’s decision comes after David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenged Governor Sule’s victory, prompting a split judgment by the three-man Tribunal headed by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi. In a majority decision, the tribunal declared Ombugadu as the rightful winner of the election.
