Tinubu appoints three more to ministerial posts, pending Senate approval
President Bola Tinubu has nominated three more individuals as ministerial nominees.
In a letter sent to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu asked for the Senate’s confirmation of the nominees.
During Tuesday’s plenary session, Akpabio read the letter from Tinubu, which introduced three more nominees: Balarabe Abbas Lawal from Kaduna State, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim from Kwara State, and Mr Ayodele Olawande from Ondo State.
The Senate had previously screened and confirmed 45 ministerial nominees in August 2023 but rejected three, one of whom was former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The other rejected nominees were Stella Okotete from Delta State and Abubakar Danladi from Taraba State.
