Gov. Buni swears in 2 Perm. Secs, Pilgrims Welfare Commission member

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has on Thursday swore in two new Permanent Secretaries, Alhaji Musa Audu Fara and Mohammed Balumi, along with the permanent member Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Alhaji Baba Gana Bukar Gujba.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the WAWA hall government house Damaturu.

In his address, Governor Buni urged the new appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by adding value to governance and improve service delivery.

Buni reassured the state civil servants that government would continue to appreciate and rewards public officers who put in their best to improve service delivery.

The Governor said the promotion of the new officers to the position of Permanent Secretaries is aimed at promoting effective and efficient service delivery in the public service and to encourage hard work, as well as to fill in the existing vacancies.

The Governor noted that, “On the available record, the new appointees have put in their best in various capacity while raising through the ranks in their respective service before the new appointments.

“This administration will continue to equip or reposition the public service to be more responsible to our current demands for speedy and effective implementation of our people oriented policies and programmes.

“I hereby urgr the head of service to draw up an effective substantial plan for efficient service delivery by embarking on training and retraining of the middle cader staff in the state”, he said.

Governor Buni also enjoined the new Permanent Secretaries and the commission’s permanent member to abide by the oath of office and contribute to the success of the government.
