Multichoice Nigeria unveils substantial price hikes for DStv, GOtv packages

Multichoice Nigeria has announced new rates for its DStv and GOtv packages in Nigeria, revealing an increase of at least 19 per cent across all bouquets.

This announcement follows a similar upward revision implemented just five months ago.

In a statement to subscribers, Multichoice highlighted that these new prices are set to take effect on Monday, November 6, 2023.

It said the latest price increase was due to “rising costs in all aspects of our business, including content acquisition, infrastructure maintenance, and operating expenses.”

The company also attributed the increase to “the current economic challenges in Nigeria,” which include high inflation and a weak naira.

“It remains our mission to provide the best entertainment and viewing experience to our valued customers and are committed to continue to deliver high-quality content and unparalleled service to our customers,” the statement added.
