Passengers stranded as NLC members block Abuja airport

Pasengers have been left stranded after members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) blocked the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja to protest the recent attack on the president of the union Joe Ajaero in Imo State.

Neptune Prime noticed that soldiers have already been deployed to the aiport to maintain calm and nomalcy.

The protesters were at the airport to halt flights going to Imo State which made them blocked all roads leading in and out of the airport.

They initially attempted to enter the airport but were stopped by military personnel at the checkpoint.

Recall that following the brutal attack on the NLC President in Imo, the workers’ unions declared a nationwide strike, to start on Tuesday, November 14th.
