The Board also appointed Maryam Aminu Bello as the Acting Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, emphasizing her legal excellence and corporate governance proficiency. The reorganisation, as explained by Chairman Malam Kabiru A. Yusuf, aims to facilitate the transformation into a world-class media company, especially with MTG’s recent expansion into television, radio broadcasting, and the digital arm.

Ahmed Shekarau, the newly appointed Group CEO, brings nearly three decades of experience in journalism and corporate communications to the role. He is a Mass Communication graduate from the University of Maiduguri and an alumnus of the Lagos Business School.
