FUDMA Students: Last four abductees freed, all now safe

The Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina State has announced that the remaining four abducted female students have been freed.

The Vice-Chancellor (VC), Prof Armaya’u Hamisu-Bichi, confirmed this to newsmen in Katsina, stating that the freed students were part of the five who were abducted by suspected bandits on October 3 from their rented apartment behind Mariyamu Ajiri memorial school in Dutsinma.

The VC added that the freed students would undergo medical checkups before being handed over to their families.

Recall that on October 3, 2023, the police confirmed the kidnapping of five female students by gunmen suspected to be bandits.

On November 20, the Katsina police command confirmed that one of the female students had escaped from their captors.
