The institutions, deemed illegal, failed to meet essential requirements for establishing training health institutions, such as a permanent staff, recreational facilities, sports fields, and adequate accommodation.

Barrister Isuwa Misali, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, clarified that the closure aligns with Governor Fintiri’s agenda to revitalise the health sector in Adamawa State.

However, despite the shutdown, the affected colleges have the option to collaborate with the ministry to fulfill necessary procedures and obtain operational permits for legitimate establishment.
