The Kano Magistrate Court, Yankaba, has scheduled January 18, 2024, for the ruling on the bail application of three defendants in the murder case involving Nafiu Hafizu, a driver reportedly killed by Hafsat Surajo, the accused housewife.

The defendants, including Hafsat’s husband, Dayyabu Abdullahi, Adamu Muhammad, and Nasidi Muhammad, are to be taken back to the correctional center until the next adjourned date.

Hafsat stands trial on charges of murder and attempted suicide, to which she pleaded not guilty. She confessed to the police that she had singlehandedly stabbed the victim multiple times after he attempted to prevent her from committing suicide.
