Police authorities in Bauchi State have apprehended three individuals suspected of involvement in criminal conspiracy, threat to life, criminal intimidation, and an attempted kidnapping.
SP Ahmed Wakil, the spokesperson of the Bauchi State Police Command, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday in Bauchi.
According to Wakil, the arrest follows a complaint lodged by one Yahaya Adamu of Badakoshi village, Bauchi LGA, to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) within the Criminal Investigation Department of the Command.
Adamu reported that on March 4, at approximately 2030 hrs, an unidentified individual contacted him via phone, demanding a ransom of N5 million under threat of kidnapping either him or his family members.
