Former Kwara deputy governor Peter Kisira passes away at 74

The former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Peter Kisira, has passed away at the age of 74.

His death was confirmed by the state government through a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye. Kisira reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday.

Kisira served as the deputy to the immediate past governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulfattah Ahmed, between May 29, 2011, and May 29, 2019.

Expressing sadness over Kisira’s demise, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq offered his condolences to the people of Baruten and Kisira’s family.

He urged them to find solace in Kisira’s fine legacies as a public servant and a bureaucrat who rose to the rank of permanent secretary in the state’s civil service.

The governor highlighted Kisira’s commendable public service and dedication to noble causes, emphasizing that he will be remembered for his contributions to the state.
