Six North-East Governors arrive in Bauchi for 10th NEGF meeting

The six North East Governors under the auspices of North-East Governors’ Forum (NEGF) have converged in Bauchi State Capital to discuss issues of common interest affecting the subregion.
During the 10th meeting slated for Friday, the forum would also unveil the prospectus for the 15th Northeast Joint Trade Fair currently holding at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida IBB Square Bauchi.
Stakeholders, including the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), are expected to make contributions to relevant issues that would add value to the governors’ recommendation.
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Borno State Professor Babagana Umara Zulum alongside his counterparts from Bauchi, Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe are expected to hold close door session after opening session to deliberate and proffer solution to the issues identified towards the overall development of the subregion.
The six Governors are also expected to accompany the Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima to perform other activities including formal inauguration of 15th Northeast Joint Trade Fair, newly constructed Bauchi State Government House and ground breaking ceremony for the construction of first two flyovers in the capital city of Bauchi.
