Ward executive sacks Zamfara state APC chairman over alleged mismanagement

In a surprising turn of events, the ward executive of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Galadima, Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State has decided to relieve Tukur Danfulani of his duties as the state chairman of the party.

The deputy chairman, Garba Bello, along with fifteen other members of the ward executive, made the decision on Saturday. They cited Danfulani’s alleged lack of effective leadership, discriminatory practices towards party members who breach APC rules, and the misdirection of the party’s activities to unauthorized individuals as reasons for his removal.

Abuhuraira Ilyasu, the Assistant Youth Leader of Galadima ward, emphasized the unity among the ward’s executive members in their decision.

“On behalf of the leaders of APC Galadima ward in Gusau local government, we are here today, 11th May 2024, to impeach the leadership of APC Chairman in Zamfara State, Honourable Tukur Danfulani due to the bad leadership,” said Ilyasu. Out of the 27 executive members in Galadima ward, sixteen signed for Danfulani’s dismissal.

Ilyasu urged the APC’s national headquarters to acknowledge their resolution and appoint a temporary caretaker chairman to oversee the party’s affairs in Zamfara.

This move would provide stability and effective leadership for the APC in the North-West state, according to the ward executive’s recommendation.
