Atalanta names Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman Player of the Season
Ademola Lookman, the talented Super Eagles winger from Nigeria and silver medalist at the recent AFCON 2023 tournament in Cote D’Ivoire, has once again been named the Player of the Season for Atalanta.
The dynamic forward secured this prestigious award for the second consecutive year, showcasing exceptional performances in both domestic and European matches for the Bergamo-based team.
Lookman played a crucial role in Atalanta’s journey to two finals, notably leading them to victory in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen with a remarkable hat-trick.
Atalanta proudly announced the news on their official website, praising Lookman’s outstanding contributions throughout the season.
With 17 goals and 11 key passes across all competitions, Lookman stood out as one of the team’s top scorers and playmakers, solidifying his position as a fan favourite and deserving recipient of the Player of the Season accolade.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is yet to announce the venue for the prestigious ceremony, where Lookman hopes to follow in the footsteps of Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala, the reigning award winners.
