Phil Foden temporarily steps away from England Euro camp due to family emergency
England midfielder Phil Foden has temporarily departed from England’s Euro 2024 camp in Germany to attend to a “pressing family matter,” as confirmed by the English Football Association on Tuesday.
Renowned for his exceptional performance in Manchester City’s title-winning season, Foden has been a key player in all three of England’s Euro matches thus far.
His availability for the upcoming last 16 game on Sunday remains uncertain, with the 24-year-old’s absence potentially impacting England’s gameplay.
Phil Foden, amongst other England stars, has faced challenges translating their club success to the international stage during the Euros, despite England’s progression to the knockout stages as Group C winners.
