Ronaldo sets new record with 6th European Championship appearance

Portugal football team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has set a new record with his 6th European Championship appearance.

In the Group F opener against Czech Republic in Germany, the 39-year-old forward started the game, showcasing his enduring talent and dedication to his national team.

His teammate Pepe, also a key figure on the team, started alongside Ronaldo, setting a new Euros record as the oldest player at 41 years and 113 days.

With an impressive track record of scoring the most European Championship goals (14) and making the most appearances (25) even before the 2024 tournament, Ronaldo has now become the first player to participate in six separate Euros, a remarkable achievement dating back to 2004.

Before the match at Leipzig’s Red Bull Arena, Ronaldo’s fellow teammate Ruben Dias commended his extraordinary commitment and skill, highlighting the inspiration Ronaldo brings to the team.

As Ronaldo continues his quest for success in Germany, he aims to further cement his legacy by potentially becoming the oldest goalscorer at a European Championship and leading his team to a second Euros victory, following Portugal’s triumph in 2016.

Ronaldo’s unwavering ambition and leadership mirror the spirit of perseverance and greatness, inspiring his teammates and fans alike with his extraordinary achievements on the pitch.
