Former Super Eagles coach Finidi George has landed a new role as the technical manager for the NPFL team, Rivers United, barely one month after his resignation from the national team.
George, known for his brief and eventful tenure with the Eagles, faced challenging results during his time as head coach, leading to calls for his dismissal from fans.
However, despite this, Rivers United expressed optimism in having the ex-international player manage their team.
The statement from the 2021-22 champions highlighted George’s extensive experience in football, including winning the Africa Cup of Nations, the UEFA Champions League, and the Nigeria Premier Football League during his playing career.

The official unveiling of Coach Finidi George is scheduled for Thursday, July 4th, 2024, at the Sharks Stadium, beginning at 2pm.
