A native of Yobe State, DIG Bala Ciroma was born on January 16, 1966. He graduated from the University of Maiduguri with a degree in Geography and joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1990. His extensive training includes a Postgraduate Certificate in Corruption Studies from Hong Kong University and membership in the Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE).
