Tears as EFCC operative in Abuja commits suicide

One of the operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly took his own life at his residence in Abuja.
The incident, which occurred on Monday, left colleagues and officials at the commission stunned.
The decease, described as diligent, efficient, and unassuming by his colleagues, was a member of Course 5 within the EFCC ranks.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are underway to uncover the reasons behind the operative’s tragic end.

Sources within the commission disclosed that the decease had been facing challenges with his immediate superior, for some time.
However, it remains unclear whether those issues directly influenced his choice to end his life.
Due to the ongoing investigation, EFCC has refrained from disclosing the name of the operative involved, but the commission continues to mourn the loss and is providing support to colleagues affected by the tragic incident.
