Police Chaplain, daughter, abducted in Zamfara, seek help to regain freedom

Pastor Isa Andrew, the Chaplain of the All Saints Police Protestant Church in Gusau, Zamfara State, and his 13-year-old daughter, Grace, have made a desperate appeal for assistance after being held captive by suspected terrorists for nearly four weeks.

The father and daughter were abducted from their residence behind Karma Hotel bypass in Gusau on July 14, 2024.

In a recently released video by their captors, Pastor Andrew and his daughter pleaded with Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, and other Nigerians to help secure their release.

The terrorists have issued an ultimatum, demanding an additional N6 million, two boxer motorcycles, and one Honda motorcycle, threatening to marry off the young girl if their demands are not met by next week Thursday.

Pastor Andrew disclosed that his family had already sold all their possessions and paid N6 million in ransom with the help of kind-hearted individuals.

Despite this, the captors continue to demand more, placing further strain on the cleric, who also suffers from diabetes, worsening his health during his time in captivity.

The initial ransom demand was N60 million, but it was negotiated down to N6 million. The pastor and his daughter now hope for urgent intervention to secure their freedom.
