NAFDAC investigating Pastor Jeremiah’s miracle water, soap – DG

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has launched an investigation into Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, over allegations of false advertising and unregistered products.

According to a statement from NAFDAC’s Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the faith-based organization is accused of using NAFDAC’s name to mislead the public. The ministry’s “Miracle Water” and “Miracle Soap” were claimed to be NAFDAC-approved, but NAFDAC confirms that these products are not registered with the agency.

NAFDAC has received numerous complaints from concerned citizens who were misled by the ministry’s claims of miraculous healing properties. Investigations revealed that products like Miracle Water and Miracle Soap were being sold with false NAFDAC registration numbers.

Efforts to inspect the production facilities and verify the claims have been obstructed. NAFDAC agents were denied access when they attempted to visit the ministry’s site. A factory involved in the production was subsequently sealed by NAFDAC.

The agency warns the public against purchasing these products and continues to investigate the matter to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. NAFDAC remains committed to safeguarding public health and ensuring that all marketed products are scientifically verified and properly registered.
