Civil servant returns missing ₦40m to owner

A civil servant  has portrayed an act of integrity and honesty as he returns a staggering sum of 40 million naira to the owner.

The man in question, Malam Aminu Umar Kofar Mazugal, a middle-ranking civil servant, found a bag filled with bundles of US dollar notes at the Abubakar Imam Urology Centre in Kano.

The money belonged to Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, who had forgotten it in the parking lot near a mosque while rushing to catch a flight.

Umar shared that the owner inquired about the lost bag about an hour later, and he returned it without hesitation.

Although Alhaji Mohammed offered him a reward as gratitude, Umar graciously declined, though he did share his contact information, promising to connect once the owner returned.

Dr. Aminu Imam Yola, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, confirmed this act of kindness and stated that Umar’s name has been submitted to the Kano State Hospitals Management Board for special recognition.
