53 passengers survive Max Air crash-landing in Kano
On Tuesday night, a MAX Air aircraft with the registration number 5N-MBD experienced a tire burst at Mallam Aminu International Airport (MAKIA) in Kano, while carrying 53 passengers.
According to an airport source, the incident occurred at 10:57 PM when the flight, VM1605, was landing after departing Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) in Lagos.
Reports indicate that the aircraft likely lost its nose landing gear tire during the landing, contributing to the incident.
Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft with no major injuries reported. As of this update, no official comment has been provided by the airline.
