8th edition of children’s creative station ends in Bauchi, As Gov. Bala bags children’s creative award of excellence

The 8th edition of the Children’s Creative Station with the Theme “Unity in Diversity” has ended with LYS Clinching first the position, Dolphin Maria second and Al hilan third place. The competition which started three weeks ago was keenly contested by ten schools all within Bauchi metropolis.

Hosted for the first time outside Lagos and the federal capital Abuja, the competition has been put together by the National Troupe of Nigeria NTN, with the Aim of inculcating in children whose creative imagination is still young the spirit of tolerance, respect and mutual understanding among others.

Artistic director of the National Troupe of Nigeria, Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed said the program is part of NTN’s mandate to revive the children’s theatre, so as to discover and harness their Talents through creativity, drama and music.

In his keynote remarks, Bauchi state Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed said his state is committed to promoting culture, tradition, and tourism which is evident through the Peace that the state is enjoying, represented by the Chief of Staff Aminu Gamawa he advised Children to pursue their dreams and avoid anything that could stop them from achieving their dreams. Gov Bala noted that Nigeria’s Strength lies in its diversity and all stakeholders must work towards that.

There were Goodwill messages from UNICEF chief of field office Mr Tushar Rane, Commissioner for Education Dr Aliyu Tilde among others.

The highlight of the event was the Award presented to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed as the Pillar of Children’s Creative Station Award of Excellence.
