Auto crash along Kano-Kaduna Expressway kills 12 passengers

Not less than 12 passengers travelling in a commercial vehicle were on Monday burnt to death in an auto crash that occurred along Kano – Kaduna expressway.
According to eyewitness accounts, the ugly incident occurred around 3 pm at Tsamawa Town in Garun Malam, local government council, Kano State.

Confirming theĀ incident to journalists, the spokesman of Kano State Fire Service,Ā Saminu Yusuf saidĀ āYesterdayĀ being Monday 28 February 2022, our fire station at Kura LGA received an emergency call at about 15:00hrs from one IsahĀ Mai Fetur, whoĀ reportedĀ a road accident/fire at Tsamawa Town in GarunĀ MalamĀ Local Government Area.
āOur men from Kura reached the area at about 15:12hrs and found that two commercial vehicles, a Haice bus collided with J5 and all with unknown registration numbers were engulfed by fire, 12 people were involved, 11 from the Haice bus which is headed from Zaria road to Kano, and one person inside the J5 which is headed from Kano to Kaduna.
āAll victims were rescued unconscious and found dead by the fire incident and we cannot identify their names andĀ age due to the fire incidentā, Saminu said.
