Moment Nigerian man harassed Internal Affairs Minister, Aregbesola, at eatery in America (Video)

Nigerian Minister of Internal Affairs and former governor of Osun State, Engr Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, was harassed in an eatery in the United States of America (USA) by a Nigerian man.

According to a video making rounds online, the man saw Aregbesola at the eatery and started making a video of him.

The man said “Hello!”, but the minister ignored him and walked to his seat.

The man persisted saying “Is this not Aregbesola? I just said hello and he left”.

He followed the minister to his seat and asked again “Are you not Aregbesola?”

Aregbesola gently beckoned on the man to come, and asked him saying, “who are you?”, the man responded that he is a Nigerian.

“What do you want?”, the minister asked while offering the man a seat beside him so he could discuss whatever he wanted.

The man refused to sit, that he didn’t want anything. The minister then asked the man to stop making a video of him without his permission and should be allowed to eat his food.

This got the man provoked and he started harassing Aregbesola verbally, saying that he could do whatever he wanted, and no one could stop him, that “this is America and not Nigeria.”

The Man: Is this not Aregbesola? I just said hello and he left. Are you Aregbesola?

Aregbesola: Come, who are you?

The Man: I am a Nigerian

Aregbesola: What do you want?

The Man: I don’t want anything. I saw you
and I think I recognise you.

Aregbesola: Sit down.

The Man: Thank you. Eh… No, no, no. Your Excellency, Ebi lo gbe mi wa si ibi bayi (I came here because I am hungry).

Aregbesola: Stop recording me. You can’t record me (he tried to stop the man).
The Man: You can’t touch me. This is America. This is not Nigeria. You can’t just take my phone. This is America.

Aregbesola: You are invading my privacy.

The Man: You can’t tell me that. This is America. This is a free state. This is a free country. I can do what I like in America.

Aregbesola: You can’t record without my authority.

The Man: Even Biden can’t tell me if I want to record him. If you, Aregbesola touch me I will sue you. This is America. You can’t touch me. This is America. I’m an American. You are alive, you can’t touch me.

Aregbesola: You can’t record me without my authority.

The Man: Biden can’t tell me that. This is
America. This is not Nigeria tie tin se osi
(This is not Nigeria where you do nonsense).

A woman, who seems to be the minister’s wife tried to intervene in the matter, saying that the man had no right to record him. Some Americans also tried to intervene too.
