Two die after heavy downpour in Lagos

Two persons are said to have died following a heavy downpour on Monday in Ikola Alimosho Local Government Area (LGA) Lagos state.

The incident occurred nearby the bridge linking Ipaja town to Command area which was flooded.

According to an eye witness, the two adult males drowned Monday as the heavy tides swept the first victim into the canal

The other while trying to rescue the victim also drowned in the process.

The downpour started in the early hours of Monday subsided around 6:00am in some parts of the state.
