Final year varsity student commits suicide over financial difficulties in Gombe
Nalkur Zwalnan Lar, a final-year student of the Federal University of Kashere (FUK), Gombe State has killed himself because of financial challenges.
According to Daily Trust, Nalkur Zwalnan Lar, a student of the Faculty of Education ended his life Wednesday night, November 24.
Reports gathered revealed that the deceased committed the act in the Santuraki area of Kashere town.
He was said to have initially taken poison but didn’t get a fast reaction so he climbed a tree and hung himself.

The report further states that Lar left behind a suicide note in which he thanked his elder brothers “for everything they have done for him and urged his mother, who he described as the best mother on earth to take it easy with herself.”
The suicide note also listed the names of people he owed money to and also revealed how they could recover their money.
He also tendered an apology to some persons simply identified as Favour and Comfort.
According to him, he doesn’t know the meaning of life as he can’t afford a smartphone of N50,000 even though his father has millions.
Reacting to the incident, FUK’s Head of Information and Protocol, Suleyman Malami Ahmed, confirmed the student’s death but said the university would reveal more information after the conclusion of an ongoing investigation.
