The Borno Police Command have arrested 56 criminals in connection with various crimes committed in the state. The State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Aliyu, said most of the suspects were arrested in connection with armed robbery, kidnapping, car theft, an act of terrorism and rape cases.
He said among the suspects was a truck driver, who allegedly concealed large parcels of Indian hemp under the firewood in a lorry loaded with firewood, household utensils, generators, electronic and electrical appliances.
“We are calling on parents to watch their children especially girls. Some of them indulge in some activities that are bad. We arrested some underage girls indulging in prostitution which they confirmed that they charged as low rate N200,” he said.
