APC national chairman, Sen. Adamu, loses seat to SDP’s Wadada

The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, will not return to the senate following his defeat to Ahmed Wadada, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Adamu failed to deliver the Nasarawa West Senatorial district to Shehu Tukur, the APC candidate, to replace him at the upper chambers.

Nasiruddeen Baba, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer for Nasarawa West Senatorial district, announced Wadada as the winner at the zonal collation centre in Keffi.

Wadada polled 96,488 votes, while Adamu got 47,717 votes.

Musa Galadima of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 46,820 votes while Bala Tongurma of the Labour Party scored 33,228 votes.
