TikTok crashes globally for second time

TikTok social media platform owned by the Chinese firm, ByteDance crashed on Thursday morning.

The crash frustrated users around the world unable to access the popular video app.

According to DownDetector (a website that monitors such outages), the problems began at around 09:40 GMT (04:40 ET).

So far, almost 3,000 complaints have been logged about the app with a total of 53 percent of users having issues reporting problems with the app itself.

32 percent of the video-sharing app users witnessed problems with their feed while 15 percent with their server connection.

Users have reported issues, including those in London and Bristol.

Reports disclosed this was the second time TikTok App suffered an outrage as it also did sometime in November 2022.
