Gov. Fintiri, deputy receive Certificates of Return from INEC

Adamawa State Governor-elect, Ahmadu Fintiri, and the deputy Governor-elect, Prof Kaletapwa Farauta, have received their Certificates of Return in Abuja.

At its national headquarters, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented the certificates to the newly re-elected governor and his new deputy around 5 pm on Wednesday.

Neptune Prime reports that the incumbent governor of Adamawa, Ahmadu Fintiri, was announced the winner of the supplementary election held on April 15, 2023.

The Returning Officer, Muhammed Melee, said Fintiri polled 430,861 votes to defeat his primary counterpart Aisha Binani of the All Progressives Congress who polled 398,788.
