According to sources, the terrorists attacked Gatamarwa around 5 pm amidst New Year celebrations, as they unleashed terror on unsuspecting mourners returning from the area.

The attackers, heavily armed with AK-47 rifles and arriving on motorcycles and in Hilux vans, opened fire on the crowd and subsequently targeted Tsiha community near Shikarkir.

In the second assault, three people were killed, and a young lady was abducted. Additionally, the insurgents looted foodstuffs and set houses ablaze.
