Traders panic as fire guts Karu Market

Traders panic as fire guts Karu Market

Traders and residents were seen worrying and panicking after an evening inferno razed the popular Karu Market in Abuja.

Karu Market, located in a suburb few miles to Asokoro residential settlement, was still burning till around midnight of Thursday.

Neptune Prime gathered from eyewitnesses that the fire started from electrical faults, but the actual cause is still unconfirmed as of the time of filing this report.

The acting director of the FCT Fire Service, Amiola Adebayo, who confirmed the incident, said firefighters have been deployed to the scene.
