The Nigerian Universities Engineering Students Association (NUESA) in collaboration with Association of Environmental Technology Students (AETS), Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi chapter, have staged an awareness walk/sensitization rally to create, promote and strengthen unity between engineering and environmental departments and sensitise university students on the effects of unhealthy and negative behavours.

The sensitisation walk led by student leaders Citizen Fahad Abdullahi and Sulaiman Saraki seeks to enlighten university students about the dangers of examination malpractice, indecent dressing, cultism, thuggery, cybercrimes, drug abuse and other social vices.

Student leader Fahad Abdullahi said the programme encouraged university students to shun immoral acts in order to make the learning environment at ATBU conducive for themselves and everyone within and outside the campus.

He said ATBU has zero tolerance for immoral acts and commended the organisers of the initiative for creating sensitisation against such vices.

With placards, the students admonished each other to shun the life of crime, drug addiction and other vices in order to attain success in their academic pursuit.

The student leader said the awareness walk/sensitisation rally was a huge success as the students came out enmass to show their solidarity and advocate for moral upstanding not only in ATBU, but in Bauchi State at large.
