NP Family Dynamics with Eesher: Balancing love for family and personal safety during Ramadan
A sister is seeking guidance on whether to return home for Ramadan amidst unresolved issues.
Dear Sis Eesher,
I had a problem with my husband, which led to me packing from the house because it was a case of physical abuse, and I sustained injury. Nothing has been said since then by his family (both parents alive).
It’s roughly 5 months, but our children stay with him during school days and come to me during weekends. I accepted this arrangement because of the standard of their school, which is better compared to where I presently live.
Ramadan is a month we welcome very well with the children, from arrangements of the house, buying things and so on. My son came back today to plead with me to come back to the house just for the period of Ramadan and go back the moment fasting is over that the house has been boring since all this while that he can’t imagine Ramadan will be without me in the house.

I have made up my mind not to go back to the house because of the children until a proper settlement is done with a signed agreement on not raising his hand on me henceforth. I have tried to let my children understand that I need to be alive for them and that I am scared of the next occurrences, but they kept on pleading.
Please, what should I do?
Please help a sister. Be emphatic and kind. Your advice could save a home.
