Police in Ogun arrest landlord for impregnating tenant’s 14-year-old daughter
A 71-year-old man, identified as Adesina, has been apprehended by the Ogun State police command for allegedly assaulting and impregnating his 14-year-old tenant’s daughter at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area.
According to reports by Punch, the suspect was caught engaging in sexual activities with the girl on April 9, 2024, in the house bathroom.
The victim, who went to take a shower, was reportedly accosted by the landlord, leading to his apprehension after community members and neighbors raised an alarm upon witnessing the disturbing incident.
Following the incident, the victim was taken to the hospital for examination and treatment, which revealed that she was pregnant, and was already six weeks into the pregnancy.

The matter has since been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, as mentioned by the state Police Command spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola.
“The landlord has been arrested and detained. The father reported that he was caught defiling his 14-year-old daughter in their bathroom in the morning. The teenager was taken to Tamara Hospital in Akute for a medical examination.
However, the medical report further showed that that wasn’t a first-time act because the test showed that the teenager was already six weeks pregnant. The state CID in Eleweran will soon take up the matter for further investigation” Odutola said.
