ABU to bestow posthumous Honorary Degree on late Dr Adamu Wazirin Fika January 27

The Fika Emirate Council Potiskum, Yobe State, is inviting the general public to the conferment of posthumous Honorary Degree on late Dr Adamu Wazirin Fika (CFR) by Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

In an invitation signed by Alhaji Ali Gimba Fika (Zanna Sunoma of Fika), Ag. Secretary Fika Emirate Council Potiskum, the programme is scheduled to take place on Saturday 27th January, 2024 by 9:00am at Mamman Kontagora Square, Ahmadu Bello University main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.

Neptune Prime recalls that the former Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Adamu Fika (Wazirin Fika), passed away on 25th October 2023, at the age of 90 and was buried at the Sultan Bello Mosque, Kaduna State.

The late administrator holds the highest traditional title of Fika Emirate Council as Waziri.

Dr Fika served as the Pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing Council of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and was the chairman, Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum untill his demise.
